Performance and Features

The MSI Optix MAG321CURV is a 32-inch VA, 1800R curved display. The monitor has a resolution of 3840×2160 UHD and can run in 4K as well, which works great, and also works great if you’re ever editing videos or working on photographs.

With the contrast ratio of 2500:1 and a brightness of 300 cd/m^2, the display does provide you with decent contrast and gamut spectrum. There’s a bit of backlight bleeding present but not to a significant level and shouldn’t be an issue when gaming or viewing movies.

The display does present a bit of a grey-ash color in certain scenes; however you can best remedy this through turning on the HDR feature.

Once HDR is on, you’ll be able to experience more of the vibrant colors and also get rid of the grey look during certain gameplay scenes.

In addition, the display has a 60Hz refresh rate and a 4ms response time, which is excellent for casual and console gaming. But if you’re a serious gamer, you may want to check out some of the fastest 144Hz refresh rate monitors.

In general, the MSI Optix MAG321CURV display is mostly geared towards the console and casual gamers.

With a 100% SRGB coverage, the display does have decent color vibrancy, however not as much to the higher end displays. But you can always calibrate the display and optimize its color settings if you need to.

The MSI Optix MAG321CURV has FreeSync as well; however, if you’re an Nvidia card user, you may need to download the required drivers through Nvidia’s website because this display isn’t fully G-Sync certified.

Overall, the MSI Optix MAG321CURV is excellent for console gaming and great if you’re casually gaming. The display is a VA panel but can pass for editing projects and creative usages.
