The MSI Optix MAG321CURV display looks sleek and elegant from afar. With its elegant looks, it also packs the necessary performance and speed needed for you to gain the upper advantage during your gaming sessions.

However, the display may belong with the older models, the display will still serve you the best it has to offer.

Display Design

The overall design of the MSI Optix MAG321CURV gaming monitor is beautifully well built, and you’ll be able to admire the display from a distance.

Also, the entire display has a genuine feel to it, thanks to its high-quality plastic material and a nice matte-black finish to the overall monitor, the display looks sleek and elegant as well.

Besides, the monitor’s bezels are very thin, and you’ll be able to further immerse yourself into your gaming and movie sessions without distractions.

The MSI Optix MAG321CURV has a 1800R curvature build, which also adds more of the immersion experience that you’ll be able to absorb yourself into.

Additionally, the stand has an excellent solid foundation thanks to its V-shaped base, it doesn’t wobble nor move when lightly nudged.

And the stand is decently ergonomically designed, it can adjust in height and tilt. However, it can’t pivot nor swivel.

But you can always opt-in for a 100x100mm VESA mount, which will give your display more freedom of maneuverability and flexibility.

Performance and Features

The MSI Optix MAG321CURV is a 32-inch VA, 1800R curved display. The monitor has a resolution of 3840×2160 UHD and can run in 4K as well, which works great, and also works great if you’re ever editing videos or working on photographs.

With the contrast ratio of 2500:1 and a brightness of 300 cd/m^2, the display does provide you with decent contrast and gamut spectrum. There’s a bit of backlight bleeding present but not to a significant level and shouldn’t be an issue when gaming or viewing movies.

The display does present a bit of a grey-ash color in certain scenes; however you can best remedy this through turning on the HDR feature.

Once HDR is on, you’ll be able to experience more of the vibrant colors and also get rid of the grey look during certain gameplay scenes.

In addition, the display has a 60Hz refresh rate and a 4ms response time, which is excellent for casual and console gaming. But if you’re a serious gamer, you may want to check out some of the fastest 144Hz refresh rate monitors.

In general, the MSI Optix MAG321CURV display is mostly geared towards the console and casual gamers.

With a 100% SRGB coverage, the display does have decent color vibrancy, however not as much to the higher end displays. But you can always calibrate the display and optimize its color settings if you need to.

The MSI Optix MAG321CURV has FreeSync as well; however, if you’re an Nvidia card user, you may need to download the required drivers through Nvidia’s website because this display isn’t fully G-Sync certified.

Overall, the MSI Optix MAG321CURV is excellent for console gaming and great if you’re casually gaming. The display is a VA panel but can pass for editing projects and creative usages.

But if you’re looking for a gaming monitor that you can dominate your opponents with, then you’ll have to some of the best gaming monitors such as the 144Hz refresh rate displays or the even faster 240Hz refresh rate displays.
