Let’s go over some of the lists and go through the guide to get most out of your components all for under $500.
$500 PC Build Component List
If you’re up to building a $500 PC gaming rig, then the following components will give you some details on how to build.
Processor: Intel Core i3-8100
With the Intel Core i3, you’ll do great on speed and computer processing. The Core i3 is a perfect budget processor. You’ll be able to rock games on high settings. However, it’ll be dependent on a great GPU to max out your games settings.
The Core i3-8100 will run around 3.6 GHz with four cores and four threads. It’s also sufficient in energy and only uses about 65 watts.
The only downside to this is that the Core i3 doesn’t come with a stock cooler, so you’ll have to invest in a separate cooler.
The Core i3 is the ideal processor when going for a $500 budget plan.
Motherboard: Gigabyte H310M
You’ll need a reliable motherboard with an affordable price; the Gigabyte H310M is it. For only $55, you’ll be able to get one with tons of features that you can use from.
It supports all current Intel chipsets and will help the Intel Core i3-8100 as well. It comes full support of two slots of DDR4 memory that you can house in.
And you’ll also have access eight audio channels in HD. As well as other features such as RGB lighting,
If you’re looking to save and don’t mind the limited capacity for more upgrades, then the Gigabyte H310M would be the ideal choice.
GPU: ASUS RX 570
With the ASUS RX 570, you’ll be able to game your way with beautiful graphics and speed. You’ll be able to game on mid to high settings. For only around $139, you’ll be able to game with great performances.
The RX 570 will have 4GB of memory, with a boost clock speed of 1250 Mhz and a 7000 MHz memory speed.
You’ll also have access to different ports such as 1 x DL-DVI-D, 1 x HDMI, and 3 x Display Port.
The RX 570 is a powerful graphics card and will quickly go with your $500 budget PC build plan.
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 8GB
The Corsair Vengeance 8GB is a great memory to have. With its built and low profile, you’ll be easily able to install this with ease, especially in cramped spaces. The Vengeance allows you to easily overclock the memories bandwidth as well if you need to.
Case: Thermaltake Versa H15
The Thermaltake Versa H15 has a great design and yet is aesthetically pleasing. You’ll be able to fit this case with your $500 budget build. Thanks to its affordability, you’ll have the best of both worlds.
Power Supply: Corsair VS550
Having a great power supply is essential when delivering efficient energy into your components. However, with a $500 budgeted plan, the Corsair VS550 is easily one of the efficient power supplies that you can invest in.
With a 550 watt power, this is enough to put efficient power into all of your PC components.
However, the downside to this is that it’s not modular. So you won’t be able to organize your cables as efficient, and you won’t be able to take out any excessive wires.
However, with an affordable price of just $44, you’ll easily be able to put this in your $500 plan.
Questions That You May Have On The $500 PC Build
What Are Some Advantages And Disadvantages Between The Intel Core i3-8100 vs. AMD Ryzen Series?
If you’re looking for a price difference between the two series, you’ll be able to get a Ryzen 3 2200G for $20 cheaper than the Core i3. However, the Intel Core i3 is still the better performing processor compared to the Ryzen 3.
However, The Ryzen 5 2600 is a well-rounded processor and can outperform the Intel Core i3-8100. The Ryzen 5 has a lot more cores and threads compared to the Core i3.
You’ll be able to get the Ryzen 5 for $40 more than the Intel Core i3.
Most games don’t fully utilize all four cores, so you’ll be great with the Intel Core i3. I say this because the Core i3 will still give you an almost exact performance compared to the Ryzen 5 when it comes to gaming.
With the Core i3 on the list, you’ll be able to save money and invest in a powerful graphics card, which is heavily relied upon when you’re gaming. Equipped with the ASUS RX 570, you’ll be able to fit in a powerful card with a great processor for under $500.

When it comes to getting the best gaming PC it is what I am all about as I do not want anything that would deprive me of getting to play some particular kind of games due to poor processor or low DRAM. That is why I would prefer the RX 570 because it has a slight performance edge over the GTX 1050. For me, I go for whatever will increase my PC performance and give me an enjoyable game experience.

I love video games don’t owe a pc anymore but back then when I had one it was a a lovely experience for me I think it was core i3, recall my friends coming around and we all play soccer gta and some other nice games. Now we have gone portable laptops I mean but it’s nice to know there are still top PC’s out there
I couldn’t agree more. PC games are where it’s at.
I’m using the Intel core i3 while my friend is using AMD Ryzen 5. There are several similarities and differences in the two procesors. Looking at the price, Ryzen 5 price is usually higher than Intel core i3 eventhough their performance is a little bit similar maybe and the differences is usually due to the modifications made on the board. But however some gamers usually prefer Rysen 5 2600 because of its compatibility with complex games when compared with core i3
Thank Sammy. The Ryzen 5 is a pretty good processor. I think the Core i3 and the Ryzen 5 are pretty much equal.
