Display Design

The Dell S2722QC measures at 27-inches and has a nice aesthetic look to the whole frame. The frame has a nice silver plastic build, along with a matte-black finish on the front display. And you’ll see the nicely placed Dell logo on the top rear of the display as well, giving that genuine Dell monitor look.

The screen itself is made up of a matte texture, which handles glares and reflections easily.

The design looks great and has thin bezels on all three sides, making it great for screen time immersion. And it also encourages you to connect another S2722QC monitor and have a dual setup.

You’ll find the OSD panel, which consists of 5 physical buttons on the bottom right side of the display. Navigating through the OSD configuration is easy and intuitive.

Additionally, the connectivity can be found on the rear of the display, which consists of one DisplayPort 1.4, two HDMI 2.0, one USB-C, two USB 3.2, and one audio jack.

The contrast ratio sits at 1000:1, with a brightness level of 350 cd/m². The brightness and contrasts are usually about right for an IPS panel.

Images and text are super crisp and clear, thanks to its 163 PPI range. Pixel density is superb on the S2722QC, making the images sharp.

The contrasts perform decently well because when viewing the screen in dark environments, the deep blacks have a gray into them. Compared to VA panels, which produce rich and deep darks.

And being an IPS, the colors and images remain consistent when viewing the screen from different angles and sides. Thanks to its expansive 178-degree range, you won’t see any colors or images fading, which is another great pro.

The S2722QC is great for professionals and creatives alike because the monitor covers 99% sRGB range, making it ideal for photographers, color graders, and creative projects.

In addition, the Dell S2722QC comes with FreeSync and is also G-Sync certified, providing you screen-tearing free and buttery smooth gaming sessions, which is another bonus on our books.

The Dell S2722QC overall performs excellently in daily and creative tasks. Also, the monitor is great if you game casually; during fast-paced action games, you may experience a bit of ghosting and trail blurs, but allowing FreeSync to work should solve the motion blurs.

You can also use the overdrive features; however, leaving it on medium settings is recommended; other than that, you may start seeing overshoots and a bit of graphical artifacts.
