Display Design

The Alienware AW2521H has the same exact build as the AW2521HF; however, the specifications of the AW2521H are a step above the AW2521HF. The design of the AW2521H looks aesthetically pleasing, thanks to its matte-grey surface.

Also, the screen is made up of a matte material that easily handles glares and reflection; however, it’s recommended you don’t place the screen directly infant of a bright light source.

Overall the design has a futuristic look; you’ll find the Dell Alienware logo on the top right side of the monitor. It lights up thanks to its LED; the stand also lights up.

The bezels are thin on all three sides, making them great for screen time immersion. And with thin bezels, you’ll be able to connect dual monitors and have a gaming station setup.

There’s also a cable management system in which you’ll be able to organize your wires very easily and have a clean look at your overall gaming desktop.

You can find the OSD panel on the bottom left of the display, which consists of four physical buttons and a joystick. The buttons can act as a hotkey. Thanks to its joystick, navigating through the OSD configurations is easy and convenient.

The AW2521H has an excellent stand, which is ergonomic by design that can adjust in height, pivot, swivel, and tilt. Additionally, the stand has an excellent wide v-shaped base which serves as a stable foundation for the AW2521H. You may have to clear some desk space since the base is a bit wide.

You can also take out the stock stand easily, there’s a fast release button, and you can swap it out for a 100x100mm VESA mount if you need to and have more movement flexibility for the monitor.

There are no internal speakers in the AW2521H; however, this is not a big issue since you’re always almost better off with a set of dedicated speakers or a pair of great headphones.

The AW2521H provides you with plenty of connections that you can plug into. You can find the connectivity on the rear of the display, which consists of one DisplayPort 1.4, two HDMI 2.0, four USB 3.2, and two audio jacks. And you can use the AW2521H with your gaming consoles, such as a PS5 or an Xbox One.

Performance and Features

Being an IPS panel, the AW2521H produces grey blacks when viewing the screen in dark environments, and this is typically normal for an IPS.

The screen has an excellent viewing angle; colors and images remain consistent when viewing the screen itself from different angles and sides.

Additionally, the AW2521H has a 99% sRGB coverage, which provides you wide ranges of colors and spectrum, and gives you life-like colors, making the AW2521H great for content creators and within the creative field. The display has enough peak brightness and color coverage for creative uses.

Thanks to its fast 360Hz refresh rate, the AW2521H will give you a smoother and buttery-like gaming experience, which takes your gaming sessions to the next level. The VRR ranges from 20Hz to 360Hz. Along with its very low input lag of 1ms.

Using HDMI, you can get a 360Hz refresh rate via DisplayPort and a max refresh rate of 240Hz.

The AW2521H comes with G-Sync however doesn’t support FreeSync; once G-Sync is on, you’ll have super smoother gameplay without any screen tearing. Even at high resolutions, the display remains consistent in speed and will stay smooth without motion blurring. This would make sense since Nvidia capitalized on creating the 360Hz threshold.
