  1. Reading through this post, the only thing popping straight into my head is the imagination of me playing FIFA 20 on this monitor. Such sleekness with breathtaking display features. It seems way too realistic with the kind of display resolution it possess. With the new installments coming to the gaming world soon, I think I need to upgrade my gadgets and the best way to get started is through this monitor. Seriously, this review of Asus xg27vq is top notch.

  2. I was just reading through one of your reviews on another monitor and while here decided to read through this one on the ASUS XG27VQ monitor. In the past, I have owned ASUS gear and have been very happy with the performance and price I paid. This monitor seems like a good deal in many ways.

As I was reading through the specs and the performance data, it seems to me that this monitor would also do a very good job replacing my old monitor. It has the refresh rate and the screen aspect where I can enjoy gaming while also have enough real estate for my work tools…

If you had to choose between the ASUS XG27VQ and another monitor that had similar specs (i.e. the MSI Optix MAG 271C) which would you take and why? I do not care too much about the RGB feature, and the rest of the specs are similar, so now I am wondering which to buy…Thanks!

    1. Thanks, Dave. Both the ASUS XG27VQ and the MSI Optix MAG271C are great monitors. But if I had to choose, I would go with the ASUS XG27VQ, because you’ll get the best of both worlds of gaming performance and image quality for work.

  3. That is an Amazing bit of Kit. I have been considering a new screen for my PC as my old standard one is a bit tired, I like the way this screen curves and the way it offers an almost 3D effect.

Would this have any benefits for non gaming use or is it an out and out gamers screen?

    Regards

    Mike

    1. Thanks, Mike. The XG27VQ is an overall great monitor and is geared towards competitive gamers. But the monitor suffices if you’re doing ordinary work or casually using it to work on projects.

But if you do happen to be a photographer or an artist, then you’ll need an IPS panel which will give you the better advantage.

  4. Great review! I can personally say that the ASUS XG27VQ is an AWESOME gaming monitor! I got a chance to try it out at the most recent CES (Consumer Electronics Show) in Las Vegas back in January. ASUS had a couple of them set up in their exhibitor booth, each to different video game consoles.

I had the opportunity to sit in front of one and play some Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 on the PS4. The wide curvature of the monitor really takes the gaming experience to another level of visual excitement. It just makes you feel like you are really in the game and more keen of your surroundings visually.

I couldn’t play for longer than 7 or 8 minutes because there were other people waiting to try out the gaming experience using the monitor. But I highly recommend people who are into gaming, especially first-person shooters, to get this monitor. This is definitely on my Christmas list. Thank you for this review.

    1. Thanks for the feed, Robert. I couldn’t agree more, the ASUS XG27VQ is an excellent monitor and should be on every gamer’s list to invest.
