The Design
The AOC C32V1Q is a 31-inch widescreen curved display. The 1800R radius curvature will add to your immersion and magnify your digital experience even better.
And with the curved design, it’s a lot easier to view the whole screen, thus working and editing projects will be much more comfortable and convenient.
Furthermore, the frame has a beautiful matte-black color finish to the entire panel and also has an elegant look at the same time. Thanks to the matte-black screen as well, you’ll get little to no glare at all since it’s not glossy.
Also, the display has a thin-bezel design, and this is great to see more of the screen, and you’ll be better absorbed in your digital moments and projects.
Additionally, the stand has an excellent V-shaped base that serves a great foundation to the C32V1Q and prevents the monitor from wobbling when slightly moved or budged.
However, the stand isn’t ergonomic by design, so you won’t be able to make adjustments such as, heigh, swivel, pivot, nor rotate. You can only tilt the monitor.
But, if you’re not entirely in favor with the stock stand, you can always replace the stand with a VESA mount. The mount is located in the bottom of the rear panel. The display only accepts and can only fit a VESA mount measuring 75mmx75mm.
It’s easy to install, unscrew the current stand, then screw the new mount in and you should have your VESA mount set up and ready to go.
And unfortunately, if you were looking forward to built-in speakers, the monitor doesn’t have them. But you’re always better off with a set of dedicated headphones and a sound system.
Also, the I/O panels are located in the rear of the C32V1Q panel, and you’ll be able to install the necessary cables with ease. The inputs consist of, one HDMI, one DisplayPort, one VGA input, and one audio jack.
You can also invest in an HDMI switch as well, so you’ll be able to hook up multiple devices to the monitor.
Thanks to its HDMI input, you’ll be able to plug in your console systems such as your PS4 and start enjoying your best PS4 games, Super NES or X-Box One in the C32V1Q display and you’ll be ready to start console gaming to a different level.
Overall the AOC C32V1Q is an impressive and aesthetically pleasing display to have. However, the stand would be better if it allowed more flexibility in terms of rotating, height adjustment, and swivel.
Performance and Features
With the C32V1Q being a 31-inch screen, with a resolution of 1920×1080, and a screen aspect ratio of 16:9, you’ll have enough screen real estate to have multiple windows open and work on different projects simultaneously.
Furthermore, the C32V1Q has a refresh rate of 75Hz and a response time of 4ms, which is pretty good and will serve you well when viewing multimedia and gaming. Also, there are no dead pixels at all.
However, if you’re a serious competitive gamer, then you’ll need to invest in one of the faster panels such as the TN panel which has a higher refresh rate of 144Hz and a quick response time of 1ms, which is ideal if you’re a gamer.
But you’ll be okay with this VA display if you use it in terms of producing, content creation, and regular daily media use.
Considering that the C32V1Q is a VA panel, you’ll get the best of both worlds or performance, and image quality. With an Ntsc of 87% and an sRGB of 102%, the monitor will provide you excellent color depth and contrast levels.
Also considering that this is a VA panel, the viewing angles are great, and you won’t see any washed-out colors nor images fading. So it acts like an IPS panel as well in this sense.
And if you’re worried about getting your eyes strained, don’t be. Thanks to the C32V1Q’s Flicker-Free technology feature and its Low Blue light mode feature, you’ll be able to use the display for prolong use and won’t have any issues when viewing the screen for hours.
Pros
- 31-inch widescreen and has a curvature which adds to your digital immersion
- 75Hz refresh rate with a 4ms response time is excellent for casual gamers and above average for content producers
- HDMI input – great to plug in your gaming consoles
Cons
- The stock stand isn’t as ergonomic by design. But you can always switch to a VESA mount down the road
In Conclusion
Overall, the design to the AOC C32V1Q display is excellent with the performance and features to back it up.
With a great viewing angle, no color fading, and no dead pixels, you’ll have a great VA panel on your side.
For around $230 price range, you’ll get the best of both worlds of performance and image quality.
However, if you’re more of a gamer that likes to compete, then you may check out the faster TN panels, such as a 144Hz refresh rate monitor, which are suited for quick and speedy performances. And you can also heck out some of the more faster monitors such as the 240Hz refresh rate displays.
But if you’re a producer, content creator, and works on projects, and games casually, then the AOC C32V1Q would suit you best.
