Design

The design of the AOC AG322QCX has a beautiful, elegant overall design to the display. The thin bezels will allow you to be better immersed to the display.

Furthermore, the entire monitor is designed with high quality graded material and has a beautiful matte-black finish to the display as well. Also if you look at the rear panel, you’ll find a beautiful steel design to it which gives the monitor a futuristic and rad look due to its red lines.

Being a curvature display built of a radius of 1800R, you’ll be able to be better absorbed in your digital experiences and gaming. Also, you can attach two AG322QCX displays and have yourself a battle station waiting for you to command.

With a sturdy stand which measures 19 3/8″ wide, the monitor has a great foundation and has a solid base, which prevents the monitor from wobbling and moving around if nudged or slightly pushed.

And the stand being ergonomic, you’ll be able to make the height adjustments, tilt, pivot and swivel to your viewing convenience.

However, if you’re not satisfied with the monitors stand, you can always opt-in for a VESA mount which also gives you greater flexibility in terms of monitor angles, viewing, and positions.

Also, the I/O panels hard to locate at first, but you can find them at the bottom of the panel. The I/O consists of two DisplayPort 1.2, one HDMI 2.0, one VGA, two USB 3.0 ports, and one 3.5 audio jack.

Thanks to the HDMI port, you’ll be able to plug in your gaming consoles such as PS4 or an Xbox One and take gaming to another level. You can also use an HDMI switch to get multiple devices connected to the monitor as well.

The display also comes in two built-in speakers which sounds fairly good. However you’ll be better off with a set of dedicated speakers or headphones.

And with the USB 3.0 ports, you’ll also be able to use the display as a charging station to connect your mobile and electronic devices too.

Lastly, if you’re big on LED lights, there are red LED lights located at the bottom of the display. I think it adds to the ambiance and environment. However, you can always turn them off in the monitors’ configurations whenever you need to.

Performance and Features

The performance for the AOC AG322QCX is outstanding thanks to its 144hz refresh rate and a 4ms response time. Thanks to its 144Hz refresh rate, you won’t be able to have any motion blur nor trails when viewing anything high paced action.

Fortunately, you won’t notice a difference between a 1ms to a 4ms response time; it may be subtle, but not significant for you to see any changes. Also, the monitor has a low input lag, which is perfectly great.

To begin with, the monitor has a resolution of 2560x1440p QHD and is HDR 400 ready. If you do decide to enable HDR mode, you’ll see a big difference in terms of image quality and color depth versus when it’s turned off. The HDR mode is another impressive feature you can use as well.

Also, there are no dead pixels and no backlight bleeding, which is fantastic as well. The pixels are crisp and clear, and you shouldn’t have any problems down the road. Additionally, the display has an accurate color accuracy thanks to its 85% NTSC color gamut.

And the contrast is excellent because you’ll be able to see the brilliant whites and the richest blacks during really bright or dark environments.

Furthermore, the display is FreeSync2 capable, and if you do have an AMD graphics card, you’ll be able to take full advantage of the FreeSync feature and its capabilities.

And once FreeSync is on you won’t be able to see any ghosting, screen tearing nor trails. And as a result, you’ll have super smooth buttery-like gameplay.

If you do have an Nvidia graphics card, you’ll be able to use FreeSync once you download the latest drivers from the Nvidia’s website.

Pros

  • Color accuracy and contrast are both superb
  • High refresh rate and a low response time
  • The display is a behemoth in size and has a curved design for added immersion
  • Very low input lag

Cons

  • The stand is sturdy, but it may take up much room
  • Ports may be hard to access since they’re located in the bottom of the monitor
  • Backlighting may be noticeable in the edge of the screen

In Conclusion

Overall, the monitor has an outstanding performance, with a 144Hz refresh rate monitor, you’ll receive the competitive edge over your opponents. Also if you’re interested in an even more high refresh rate, then you may want to check out the 240Hz monitors.

And the display is aesthetic and has an excellent design for the entire panel. The LED lights in the bottom of the screen add to the ambiance of your environment.

However, some users experience issues when accessing the I/O ports due to its bottom location. It would have been nice if the ports were located in the back of the panel for easier access.

Other than that, the AG322QCX has the speed, and the performance to give you a slight advantage when it boils down to gaming competitively.
