The Acer CB272 is an excellent IPS display to invest in if you’re looking for a budgeted monitor to upgrade to this year.

With its screen resolution and display measurements, you’ll have more screen real estate to work multiple projects and windows. And the monitor is mostly geared towards casual business use and casual gaming.

In addition, the display itself looks aesthetically pleasing with a nice overall elegant look to the build. But does it pack the necessary performance and features needed to get the job done?

So before purchasing the Acer CB272 monitor, let’s jump into its specifications, performance, features, and design.

Display Design

The Acer CB272 monitor measures at 27 inches with enough for multimedia and gaming immersion.

And with its super thin-bezel design, you’ll have a greater immersion experience in all your multimedia and gaming sessions.

Also, with narrow bezel, you’ll be able to connect two or even three Acer CB272’s and have a ready battle-station ready for you to command.

You’ll also be able to see the Acer logo, well crafted on the rear of the monitor, making the display complete and well-assembled altogether.

Additionally, the overall design has a beautiful matte-black finish to the entire built. It feels genuinely crafted with excellence, and you can see the elegance it radiates when admiring the display from afar.

The default stand is ergonomically designed well, and the display can adjust in height, pivot, swivel, and rotate, making the Acer CB272 display super convenient when working from different angles and different positioning.

You can always opt-in for a 100x100mm VESA mount as well if you’re not fully in with the default stand. And having a VESA mount will allow the display to be a lot more flexible as well.

In addition, you can locate the connectivity in the rear of the panel and consists of one DisplayPort 1.2, one HDMI 1.4, one VGA, and one 3.5mm audio jack. There are not a whole lot of plethora of connections of connecting to and no USB ports to connect to as well.

But you can always invest in an HDMI switch if necessary and start plugging in any extra electronics or any spare gaming consoles that you may have.

The OSD panel can be located in the rear of the monitor and consists of four buttons, including the power button and one joystick for navigational purposes, which is very user friendly and super convenient when going through the menu configurations.

Performance and Features

The Acer CB272 has a resolution of 1920×1080, with a refresh rate of 75Hz and a 1ms response time. These specs are decent for gaming alongside with console gaming and will allow you to game without any issues casually.

In addition, the Acer CB272 has a contrast level of 1000:1 and a brightness level of 250 cd/m², with a default screen aspect ratio of 16:9. With these settings, you’ll get a normal spectrum range of contrast and gamut and nothing too special here.

And the monitor is also FreeSync capable, which allows you to run your games super smooth, and you’ll be able to experience super buttery-like graphics as well.

However, the G-Sync isn’t certified, and if you do have an Nvidia graphics card, you may have to download the latest drivers from Nvidia’s site for it to work fully. Also, the input lag sits around 9ms with is pretty decent.

With a 75Hz refresh rate, you’ll experience a bit of ghosting, motion blur, and graphical trailing during fast-paced action scenes. However, with the current refresh rate, it’s perfectly great for console and casual gaming.

The display does have a decent color range, thanks to its 97% SRGB coverage; you’ll be able to experience a decent plethora of colors; however it can be slightly improved.

Being an IPS panel, you’ll be able to have a wide viewing angle. And the colors and images will remain the same when viewing the screen from different angles, so it’s advantageous if you’re working from different angles as well.
